Moore Farm & Stonehouse Update

Greetings Friends!
 

We wanted to update our ardent supporters, friends, and volunteers with an update on the Nelson Augustus Moore Homestead and Farm. As you probably know, we've been working closely with Trust for Public Land to secure funding for the purchase of the house and farm on High Road.  Thanks to your support, we've raised over $125,000 of our $300,000 private goal. TPL has been invaluable, and to date, we've secured a major Open Space grant from the State of Connecticut, a municipal contribution, and expect to apply for a federal Highlands grant and another private grant this Spring. With your continued support, we'll be able to officially protect the property and open it up to the public by mid-summer! A gift towards this project is a gift to the community, our environment, and future generations. Join us!
