On Thursday, February 18, 2021, Naturalist John Root shared insightful ideas for attracting birds, butterflies, bees, and other beneficial creatures.

Many of us would like to do something to improve the environment, but don’t know where to begin. Naturalist John Root has a suggestion: we can start in our own backyards.

John explained how to make your yard a havens for wildlife, in an on-line presentation titled “Attracting Birds, Butterflies, Bees, and Other Beneficials”.

He talked about the important roles that pollinators play in our environment and he taught us what we can do to meet their essential needs and help them thrive.

John explained how we can use organic methods to create pollinator gardens and he will acquaint us with a variety of plants that provide food and shelter for birds and insects, in all phases of their lives.
