Guided Native Plant and Wildflower Hike

Where: Alice Fern Bruce Preserve (Property held in trust by the Berlin Land Trust)

Description: We will spend time examining wildflowers and other native plants in glade, ridge crest, stream corridor, and vernal pool envelope habitats on North Lamentation Mountain.

Distance: Approximately 2 miles round trip

Degree of Difficulty: Moderate and locally steep

Route: We will hike up to the ridge crest via the newly re-routed section of the Blue Trail, then follow the ridge to the summit for spectacular panoramic views. Return via new White Trail.

What to Bring: Hat, water, and snack; wildflower and/or fern guide if you have one. Leaders will provide extra magnifiers.

Park: Adjacent to curb on Lamentation Drive in Berlin, just beyond the intersection with Quail Run. Please park opposite side of Drive from residence.

Limit: Due to planned activities, this hike will be limited to the first 20 participants. Registration is required by Wednesday, 8 June
